In this Supply Chain Sourcing course, the material is divided into 4 weeks where each week is introduced with new material. At the end of each week, participants will face a blended exam consisting of multiple choice questions and essays. The minimum grade standard is 80, and those who achieve a grade below that will be required to retake the exam.

The breakdown of each week’s material is as follows:

Week 1: Understand the various stages of procurement, including the act of purchasing, the role of the procurement department, strategies for differentiating supplier categories, and strategies for improving company performance through procurement.

Week 2: Discussing the principles of in-house manufacturing or purchasing decisions, evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of insourcing and outsourcing, and analyzing the risks and benefits of both, with the aim of understanding the factors that influence such decisions by companies.

Week 3: Review supplier segmentation in general and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of single and multiple sourcing, as well as evaluate the impact of sourcing on the overall company.

Week 4: Discuss best practices in procurement, purchasing, and payment systems that enable automation and acceleration of critical functions in procurement. In addition, a supplier evaluation system that can be applied in professional and personal contexts will be built.
